New dev kits enable rapid prototyping with GlidePoint® Circle Trackpads across a range of form factors
Salt Lake City, UT — March 25, 2026 — Cirque Corporation, a leader in capacitive touch solutions, today announced the availability of its updated GlidePoint® Circle Trackpad Development Kits, now featuring the company's latest Gen6 IC platform.
The development kits are designed to accelerate product development for engineers building next-generation game controllers, VR/AR devices, remote controls, wireless keyboards, and other applications requiring compact, high-precision touch input.
Two Kit Configurations Available
Cirque offers two development kit configurations to cover the full range of available circle trackpad sizes:
DK-000027-00 — Includes 16mm and 23mm GlidePoint Circle Trackpads | $99.00
DK-000028-00 — Includes 35mm and 40mm GlidePoint Circle Trackpads | $99.00
Individual circle trackpad modules — available in 16mm, 23mm, 35mm, and 40mm diameters — can be ordered separately and mixed and matched to support custom configurations beyond those included in the standard kits.
What's Included
Each kit includes a GlidePoint development board with an Arduino-compatible Teensy 4.0 module, circle trackpad holder, 6-pin flat flex cables, USB cable, and a quick start guide. Cirque also provides sample code and full documentation to simplify integration.
About the Gen6s Platform
The circle trackpads are powered by Cirque's Gen6s capacitive touch controller, delivering high-precision X/Y position tracking, extremely low power consumption (with active, idle, and sleep modes), and I2C interface compatibility — with no additional driver required. The modules are RoHS compliant and rated for operating temperatures from -25°C to 85°C.
Availability
Both development kit configurations are available now at $99.00 each directly from cirque.com/circle-trackpad-dev-kit and will be available soon through distribution partners, including Mouser Electronics.
