In a typical mechanical keypad, electrical connections occur between the individual keys (domes or pills) and a contact layer. Cirque has eliminated these contacts as one potential point of attack Cirque GlideTouch projected capacitance measurement system has been shown to be secure in that no usable data can be obtained through an attack at any point within the sensor area or electronic routing external to the secure perimeter. As a result, no security meshes or special measures are required to secure the keypad/sensor external to the secure perimeter.
Cirque’s Active Intrusion Detection technology constantly monitors electrical routing and the sensor area for any intrusion. Any attack on the system would be registered and reported to the host processor for action.
