The GlidePoint TM040040 is a unique round trackpad designed by Cirque for use in game controllers, remote controllers and other devices requiring a unique and versatile interface.
The TM040040's circle shape can replace or supplement a traditional analog stick or directional pad. Because its a true trackpad (not simply a gesture pad), the TM040040 is completely customizable and can dynamically support different input modes. Set it as a d-pad replacement for quick scrolling through menus, or a precision tracking device for sniper mode.
The TM040040 uses a proven Cirque's capacitive touch controller system-on-chip for an easy to implement solution with extremely low power consumption, ideal for battery powered devices.

An Arduino-based sample project is available for capturing touch data from the TM040040 module. This project utilizes the Teensy 3.2 Arduino development board. An adaptor module is available from Cirque that includes the Teensy 3.2 and allows for easy connection to the TM040040.
A reference plastic overlay design is available that can be used to add a curved top surface to the trackpad. Design files in various formats can be found below. For samples please contact Cirque.
