The GlidePoint TM050025 is a unique gamepad originally designed by Cirque for use in controllers for console gaming. The TM050025 provides a high precision input experience for gaming. The sensor is designed to operate in Cirque’s Integrated Touch mode. The Cirque analog front end (AFE) is on the trackpad and the firmware is embedded in the host processor or a companion microcontroller. In addition to game controllers, the TM050025 is an ideal solution for a variety of products.

APPLICATIONS

  • Game controllers
  • Remote controls
  • Headphones
  • Wireless keyboards
  • Industrial control panels
  • Medical instruments

FEATURES

  • Superior navigation and high responsiveness
  • Low power consumption
  • Cirque Integrated Touch
  • Based on GlidePoint Gen 4 image sensing touch technology
  • Easy product integration due to thin, lightweight design
  • SPI (10-pin FFC connector) compatibility
  • No maintenance required – no moving parts and immune to dust and abuse
  • OS independant embedded features mean no additional drivers needed

Power efficiency of any application is improved with an "idle mode," where the touchpad’s current draw is reduced when a finger is not touching its surface.

The gamepad is fully compatible with standard Windows mouse drivers. No additional driver is required to activate many of its advanced features. For custom functionality at the product design stage, Cirque offers software that allows OEMs to enable, disable, or personalize advanced settings and/or reprogram the touch sensitive area.

Custom designed sensors are also possible.  The hardware and firmware of the TM050025 is easily scalable enabling a wide range of sensor sizes.
