GlideSensor Dual-Axis Touch Sensor

Cirque’s Dual-Axis sensor is an extension of our proven GlidePoint® technology. The dual-axis sensor provides an X-Y grid pattern that can be programmed and configured to meet varying product requirements. The touch sensor can be configured with multiple or single functions.

Common uses for GlideSensor Dual-Axis Touch Sensor include:

• Text Entry- high resolution absolute position data can be interpreted using a character recognition engine
• Navigation- mouse-like controls provide a means for controlling the cursor and navigating menus
• Button Input- regions of the sensor can be programmed to replace mechanical buttons providing increased reliability
• Circular Scrolling- CirqueSelect features combined with circular scrolling offers improved control features
• Linear Scrolling- provide one or more linear control zones

This development sensor provides a method for testing and designing with GlideSensor technology, while speeding the development process and providing a shorter time to market. Cirque recognizes that custom sensor design may be required and has the expertise and capacity to provide rapid sensor design in custom sizes and shapes using a wide range of materials.

GlideSensor products can successfully be combined with additional options such as:

• LED lighting
• Custom overlay graphics and textures
