• Firmware Engineer

  General Overview:

  • Work within a team providing test relating to new and ongoing ASIC products.

  
  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of ASICs and related circuits
  • Investigate and define required test methods
  • Assure that test methods, including required DFT are implemented
  • Chip level failure analysis
  • Test and verify from specifications of prototypes
  • Documentation of test results

  Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BSEE plus minimum of 2 years experience required
  • Fluent in reading & interpreting electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of a programming language
  • Knowledge of CMOS circuits
  • Working knowledge of microcontrollers
  • Excellent ability in evaluating, testing and documenting the performance of systems
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment, i.e. O-scopes, function generators, etc.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  Reporting Structure:

  • This position is an exempt position
  • This position has no direct reports

• ASIC Test Engineer

  General Overview:

• Firmware and Research Engineer

  General Overview:
  

  Responsible for researching new techniques and methods involving touch sensing and implementing solutions in uC firmware and PC software.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and development in sensing methods and technology.
  • Development of uC code for custom mixed analog/digital SOC circuits from specification to verified prototypes as a member of a team.
  • Creation and implementation of product specification and development documentation, including testing requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  
  Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BSEE/CS plus 8 years or MSEE/CS plus 5 years of programming in C and assembly for microcontrollers.
  • Experience designing and debugging in MS Studio.
  • Proven proficiency in code debugging.
  • Passion for solving problems and learning new concepts.
  • Understanding of static and dynamic electric fields.
  • Working knowledge of verilog is helpful.
  • Working knowledge of microprocessor architectures and supporting hardware.
  • Working familiarity with laboratory test equipment.
  • Experienced in successful product management.
  • Excellent organizational capability.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in documentation creation and implementation.
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer within the USA.

  
  Reporting Structure:

  • Position reports to Manager of Research and Development.
  • This is an exempt position.
